Air Defense Simulator
The Aircraft Control Trainer (ACT) 2000 system is a command and control simulator designed to teach air control procedures to Trainees and to provide continuation and advanced training.
System Features
The ADS Radar Display Console is representative of a typical, modern PPI display used in a ship borne air defense system. The system has the following functionality:
ability to set up fixed or ship borne primary and secondary radars in
multiple scenarios
simultaneous generation of 250 simulated radar tracks on a
PPI display
simulation of Electronic Warfare such as typical Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) and
Electronic Counter Counter Measures (ECCM)
auto-tracking of all radar plots
synthetic video mapping of land masses and boundaries
simulation of IFF and SSR signatures
provision of GCI of hostile tracks under semi-automatic control
provision of track labels for target information (callsign, range, heading, altitude and speed) on the PPI in digital form
full simulation of the simulation of HF and UHF radios
realistic presentation of radar video on all PPI positions
full record and replay of synchronized radar picture and communications channels for each Trainee (PPI) position
calculates effect of wind speed and direction profile on targets/interceptors and deployed “chaff”
